VDMA – as the voice of the mechanical and plant engineering industry – is therefore hosting a VDMA workshop on large heat pumps at HEATEXPO. The aim is to develop a common understanding of the key challenges and areas of action for the use of large heat pumps in process heating. 

Following the keynote speeches “Market Overview of Large Heat Pumps” by Fabian Ahrendts from Fraunhofer IEG and Dr. Ulrich Liebenthal from Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH on the user perspective, we will discuss with you: how can the market ramp-up be accompanied by industrial and energy policy, and what political framework conditions are necessary for this?
