VDMA Precision Tools is the information and networking platform for manufacturers of cutting tools and clamping technology as well as toolmakers.

We represent the technical and economic interests of around 170 member companies. With about 57,000 employees, the precision tool industry is one of the largest branches of mechanical engineering. Its export share of production is over 45 percent. We see ourselves as a service provider for our members and as the voice of the precision tool industry. We observe current market developments and organise standardisation work together with experts from the companies.
