About the Official German Pavilion
The VDMA has been initiating joint stands at Gastech since 2015, in which 20-30 German and European companies regularly participate. Since 2021, there has been an Official German Pavilion and a separate exhibition area for European companies.
This time, there will again be 33 exhibitors at the German Pavilion and a further VDMA 20 members from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. There will also be pavilions from other countries. Numerous presentations will take place around GASTECH at the accompanying GASTECH Conference and at the exhibition grounds. The VDMA, the German Consulate General, and other partners of the German Pavilion are also organizing several side events. Details can be found here.
About the trade fair
Gastech can look back on a long history since its inception in 1972. It has developed into the world's leading gas and LNG technology trade fair and now also focuses on hydrogen and the role of gas in the energy transition. It also traditionally takes place at different locations around the world, most recently in Singapore in 2023 and Houston, USA, in 2024.
In addition to technology providers, the trade fair traditionally brings together major gas companies such as SHELL, ENI, Chevron, UNIPER, GAZPROM, KOGAS, Sonagol and other national energy companies. Over the years, the thematic focus has increasingly shifted towards LNG and hydrogen topics, which are viewed from the perspective of the energy sector (production, transportation and storage of H2). Exhibitors also include some important large EPCs that specialize in LNG, H2 and cryogenic technology projects.
According to Ragnar Strauch, VDMA's long-time federal informant, Gastech is developing into an important platform for major projects that drive forward the energy transition with a focus on climate-neutral energy sources.
The Gastech Conference with visitors from international oil & gas companies as well as EPCs and bank representatives will be held parallel to the trade fair. The main topics in 2025 included Climatetech and AI as well as hydrogen.
