In 2025, onshore wind energy in Germany showed very dynamic growth. This highlights the industry's performance and competitiveness. At the same time, the federal government is planning legislative changes that must be implemented correctly so as not to slow down the current momentum.

Companies along the entire supply chain need continuity in expansion and reliable political framework conditions so that the successful course can be continued. This is the only way to make investment decisions and ensure long-term security of supply, technological sovereignty, and industrial value creation.

Together with the specialist agency Wind and Solar, the German Wind Energy Association and VDMA Power Systems are presenting the expansion and approval figures for the whole of 2025. They are placing the figures in a political context and making recommendations for action to politicians.
