In our annually recurring series of events, we once again report on current topics from environmental law.
- All electrical and electronic equipment must have been RoHS compliant since 22 July 2019. This means that the most recent amendment to Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council is now in force. Violations of the requirements of the Directive may be punishable by heavy fines of EUR 100,000.
- As part of a so-called "minor revision", there are significant changes and innovations in the Federal Ordinance on Installations AwSV on the Handling of Substances Hazardous to Water. What do we have to pay attention to and where are the pitfalls?
- The Packaging Act, which has been in force since 1 January 2019, has also led to a number of uncertainties among companies. Which packaging is subject to registration and which is not?
- And last but not least, immission control also comes up with innovations, e.g. in the regulations for evaporative cooling systems and medium-sized firing systems
- REACH remains an important issue, because today manufacturers of machines and plants have to answer more and more customer inquiries on the subject of "material compliance"
