The VDMA working group "High Purity Gases" prepares and revises VDMA standard sheets of the 4390 series "Planning and installation of new or expansion of existing high purity gas supply systems". Three parts have been published so far: fittings, piping systems and examples of monitoring as part of the risk assessment and process safety.

The Equipment department focuses on oxyfuel technology and draws up position papers on the interpretation of various regulations. It is dedicated to standardization, certification and issues relating to materials.
The next IFAT Munich will be held from May 13th to 17th, 2024.
On 5 May 2026, the VDMA will hold the 3rd European Market Experts Meeting on H2 and H2 Derivatives in Frankfurt. The agenda will focus primarily on the exchange of information on major projects in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Europe and overseas. This time, the focus will be on Australia and Canada. Exchange of experience on topics such as: ISO 9000ff and 14001ff, material certificates, suppliers, pressure equipment directive, European standardization, AD regulations and many more. In addition, development of position papers and guidelines on valve-related issues.
