Betram Kawlath: We need an "autumn of action"

Trade wars, bureaucratic frustration, global uncertainty, and ever-increasing costs are weighing heavily on the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry this year. The VDMA therefore forecasts a 5 percent decline in production for 2025. Even in 2026, only slight growth of 1 percent is in sight. VDMA President Bertram Kawlath is calling for the announced autumn of reforms to become an "autumn of action."
