This meeting focuses on the preparation of the OPC UA Companion Specification (CS) document. The goal is to review the current status, align on the next steps toward finalization, and schedule the date for the next meeting.
The focus of this meeting is on processing the document proposal and planning the next meeting. The previous results will be taken up, existing approaches further developed, open questions clarified and the next steps for the consistent integration of traceability into the OPC UA information model for battery cell production coordinated. At the end of the meeting, the next date is set and further activities are coordinated. We look forward to your participation and your contribution!
In this session, the progress of the individual sub-working groups will be presented and key developments introduced. There will also be an update on the current status of OPC UA for Machinery - Basic Components. Finally, the next meeting date will be coordinated.
The next Board meeting of the Photovoltaics Equipment sector group will take place on December 8, 2025 as an online meeting.

as discussed at the last board meeting of the VDMA Photovoltaics Equipment sector group, we would like to invite the VDMA management and the VDMA PV Board to a joint meeting (online) on the topic of strategic exchange on the PV machinery industry. Despite the difficult situation for European PV manufacturers due to the lack of fair competitive conditions, the PV machinery industry in Germany and Europe continues to have very strong production technologies. Our members are able to cover almost all process steps of PV production in the consortium with a cumulative market potential of around USD 275 billion by 2035. The current framework conditions are currently not sufficient. To ensure future viability and growth, it is crucial to build on our strengths and exploit new potential.
