It requires and publishes detailed energy consumption and emissions figures, which companies must first determine. This also includes the so-called Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF), i.e. the CO2 balance sheet, with which companies can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and proactively position themselves vis-à-vis customers, business partners and investors. But how can energy consumption be recorded digitally and with little effort?
In this VDMA Presence Erfa, VDMA sustainability expert Judith Herzog-Kuballa first explains the basics of the reporting obligation and reports on current methods of PCF calculation in companies.
Siegfried Maigler from the company FORCAM will present a new and simple "plug-and-play" solution with which energy consumption can not only be measured and processed digitally, but also reduced. christoph Tippel from the BWF Group in Offingen will report on the practical application of this solution.
