Especially in times of crisis, such as the current COVID 19 pandemic, new ways of remaining competitive are needed. Startups often offer quick and unconventional solutions that can help companies quickly - especially in these times.
As growth drivers, start-ups are primarily translating trend themes into new digital technologies and products that also play a role in mechanical engineering. The cooperation between start-ups and mechanical engineering companies is promising, even if both sides still differ considerably in terms of corporate culture, flexibility or even speed. Mutual understanding can lead to a very valuable cooperation.
What can you expect from Web-Erfa? In the one-and-a-half hour session, five startups from the VDMA Startup-Machine network will present their solutions in short pitches with a focus on the topic of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). These young companies are fully committed to using UAV technology for their business model and will demonstrate the potential and possible applications of UAS in mechanical and plant engineering: UAS can be used, for example, for inspections in an industrial environment, for monitoring, for inventory taking, for transporting urgently needed products such as spare parts, laboratory samples or medicines, and also for measuring machines and systems.
In addition, Juliane Friedrich from VDMA AG Industrial Drone Solutions will give an overview of the VDMA's range of products and services in the field of Unmanned Aircraft Systems / UAVs in her introductory presentation.
The Web-Erfa is the sixth event in the series "Startup Solutions for Mechanical Engineering": Here you will get to know new offers from startups on current challenges per Web-Erfa.
The Web Experience is aimed at specialists and managers from the fields of production, intralogistics, innovation and business development.
