"Knowledge Management in Mechanical and Plant Engineering" at KNAPP AG
The mechanical and plant engineering sector produces highly complex, durable products. As such, employee expertise is of paramount importance. In the coming years, demographic change will lead to the retirement of many key knowledge holders. This makes it all the more crucial to extract, preserve, and systematically transfer corporate knowledge to the next generation. In our strongly export-oriented industry, there is also a growing need to make company know-how available across all locations - domestically and internationally - without delay and in a consistently high quality. This must be achieved across language barriers and time zones, and is essential for maintaining a competitive service offering. How machinery manufacturers are addressing these challenges and what digital solutions are available to elevate knowledge management to the next level will be the focus of the full-day VDMA Austria event on November 18, 2025, hosted by KNAPP AG in Hart bei Graz.

At this event, we will explore corporate knowledge management from two perspectives: first, from the viewpoint of industrial companies as users of knowledge management solutions, and second, from the perspective of the providers of such solution. The agenda includes compelling use cases, and - as you may expect - artificial intelligence will also play a significant role.
Take advantage of this opportunity to learn from one another, expand your network, and gain fresh inspiration for your own organization. You can expect a highly informative and engaging event agenda featuring presentations from our host KNAPP, as well as KEBA Industrial Automation, B&R Industrial Automation, WBI, Sysparency, and Salesfive. Additionally, knowledge management expert Thomas Riegler from VDMA Software and Digitalization will share his insights. The agenda will also include a presentation of KNAPP AG and a guided tour of its state-of-the-art production facility.
