The tours will guide visitors to selected exhibitors who will be presenting innovative machines, systems and processes for the production and optimisation of electrode materials for batteries. The focus will be on the following topics in particular:

• Material development for lithium-ion batteries: New approaches to improving energy density, charging cycles and sustainability.
• Process engineering challenges: From mixing and grinding to coating and drying – how modern systems increase quality and efficiency.
• Recycling and sustainability: Solutions for recovering valuable raw materials from used batteries and reusing electrode materials.
• Safety aspects and containment: Protective measures when processing reactive or toxic substances.

The tours are accompanied by the VDMA Battery Production specialist department. They are aimed at all visitors who would like to familiarise themselves with the future topics of energy storage and process engineering.

Participating is free of charge; registration via this event. Please select the appropriate tour when registering.

The starting point is Speakers Corner at the VDMA special show, booth 10-538. The tours will take place on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The approximately 90-minute tour will begin after a brief intro by VDMA expert Benedikt Rothhagen.

The 10 a.m. tour includes visits to MIXACO, Maschinenfabrik Gustav Eirich GmbH & Co. KG, IBU-tec advanced materials AG, AZO GmbH & Co. KG, Gebrüder Lödige Maschinenbau GmbH and J. Engelsmann AG.

The 1 p.m. tour includes HAVER & BOECKER OHG, Herding GmbH Filtertechnik, amixon GmbH/ Ruberg-Mischtechnik GmbH + Co. KG, NETZSCH Trockenmahltechnik GmbH, HOSOKAWA ALPINE, NEUMAN & ESSER and Alexanderwerk AG.
