How do we work with data in mechanical engineering?

Data, or rather the consistent use of data, is becoming a key success factor in mechanical engineering. At the same time, requirements are increasing due to the EU Data Act, digital product passports, machine regulations and standards such as OPC UA and Asset Administration Shell. Many companies are asking themselves: How do we deal with this pragmatically - and how do we create real benefits from it?

The presentation shows how the digital twin becomes a common database. It connects product, operating and process data across the entire life cycle. Standards such as OPC UA and AAS make this data interoperable and machine-readable. The digital product passport, where necessary, will not only become mandatory, but also the entry point for new data-based business models.

Using practical examples, you will learn how machine manufacturers can efficiently fulfill regulatory requirements and at the same time tap into new business potential. These include digital services, simplified, digital documentation, data-based maintenance and new revenue models from the processing of data.

The focus is on implementation. Without buzzwords. With clear added value. For all those who not only want to manage data in mechanical engineering, but also use it economically for greater productivity.
