Europe has a choice - how do we strengthen industry?

Discussion with Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Robert Habeck, EU Director General Kerstin Jorna and VDMA President Karl Haeusgen

Overregulation, a lack of trust in the market and legislation that is in love with detail - there is hardly any shortage of criticism of current policy at federal and European level. At the same time, measures are already in place to support European industry on its path to green transformation and to strengthen competitiveness. 

But is European industrial policy heading in the right direction? What priorities should the new EU Commission set after the European elections to ensure the competitiveness of European industry? And how can Europe's economy assert itself in the geopolitical field of tension between China and the USA? 

Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Robert Habeck, Director General Kerstin Jorna of the European Commission (DG GROW) and VDMA President Karl Haeusgen will discuss the status quo and the vision of European industrial policy at the 14th European Policy Reception of the VDMA and Deutsche Messe AG.

The event will be held in German with simultaneous translation into English.
